Okay, go to http://www.shopsar.com/ (SAR stands for "Superior Auto Restyling") - they're a licensed distributer of Katzkin Leather. Click on the leather seats and design your own. Dude, for your project, you could get two tone leather, black and red, with red piping, and custom dragon embroidery on the headrests. Or, do like I did, and put leather DVD headrests in and get the embroidery done on the seat back (below the headrest). Go to the site and they have a "virtual designer" so you can see what your seats will look like - it's the s-h-i-t. As for the DVD headrests, go to http://www.chinavasion.com/product_i...er-pair-black/ and order the stuff wholesale direct from China. It's the same quality as Audiovox or some sh-t like that, but the quality is fine on them - and they're $300-500 cheaper than you'd pay here. $378, with shipping (Which is $140 from China) for 2 headrests, WITH built in DVD players and FM transmitters (which I don't use, since all the DVD players are wired into the stereo). Look, for your project, or for any car for that matter, seat covers are a ghetto solution. Katzkin is EXPENSIVE ($900 once you add custom embroidery, etc.) BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! You feel like you're sliding into a brand new Lexus or Caddy. And CUSTOM. It can't be beat. EVEN COMES WITH LEATHER FOR THE DOOR PANELS. You could get red leather for the panels. I'm telling you bro - worth every penny. Installation of these things is a b-tch and needs to be done professionally though. They rip off the factory fabric and put this stuff on factory - on every headrest, arm rest, everything, on every seat. The seats cost me $400 and the panels another $250. You could bargain shop and maybe get the whole thing done for $500. But it is not a do it yourself project. But worth it man. My seats are done, the door panels are being done Monday, and my stereo's getting put in Tuesday - as I'm going on vacation Tuesday night. I'll post pics when it's done before I leave. And check out my post to your question about Short Ram air intakes - I just had the injen put in and it ROCKS. NOTICEABLE horsepower boost.

Ok, so ive done some more stuff to my interior like adding matching chinese fire dragon seat covers, floor mats and steering wheel cover (black/red), and I installed a 4 bar red LED interior kit. I was looking at other companies that sell dash trim kits and realized that $20 is extremely cheap compaired to whats out there (but learned that its the materials the others use that make the difference). So now im considering pulling out the vinyl dash trim and replacing it with a genuine red carbon fiber dash kit. It runs $295, but I think it will probably be alot easier to deal with (and look extremely awesome). More pics to come . . .

Yeah, when you were talking about how hard it was to put in your dash kit, I was like "What the f-ck? I just peeled mine off the back and laid it on. Went on perfectly in 10 minutes." But then I realized you must have bought the red vinyl, and cut, trimmed, and did it all yourself. THAT would be a bitch. I went with the piano black one from wooddashexperts, and it was $200, but the one you're talking about sounds top of the line. If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that you get what you pay for. I'd rather save up and get something really nice that go the cheap route and regret it later. You could get red carbon fiber door post pillar covers for the outside to match to.

I think the door pillar posts look stupid (no offense), but I would like to get the red carbon fiber door handle covers and gas cap cover (and headlight eyelids too if they make them). But I am going to be putting chinese dragon vinyl graphics on the sides of the car, so im not sure how close they will come (if not touch or run over) the door handles and gas cap. We will see.

Where did you see carbon fiber door handle covers? And yeah, I think red carbon fiber door pillar posts would look gay, but I just figured with the red theme you have going... Thing is, sometimes you don't know how something will look til you see it on there. You know those cheap fake vents? Take a look at my front bumper, how they look on the lower part in front of the tires. All my gear head friends who were going to make fun of them admitted that they look really f-cking cool there. I got the black carbon fiber posts, I'll see how they look and post some pics. It's a little easier with my car though, just get anything black and see how it looks. Half the time you can't even see it cause everything's so black.

Carbon fiber door handle covers, I'm prolly gonna do that for my interior handle bezels (I cracked one trying to take the door apart.. SHHHH!) I found some carbon fiber tape, I figure for now that'll solve that issue for now. Maybe I acn even cover the bezel for the power window switches.. what do you guys think?

so after running around to various detailing shops and getting numerous phone numbers of different specialists, I discovered that you cannot dye fabric to a different color. I got sent to an upholstry shop that works on show cars and talked to the guy there and to replace the carpet, headliner, door panel fabrics with red fabric, and to make custom two-tone black/red seats he quoted me $1200. I was expecting to hear something more like $3000, so I think this is something to definitely save up for after I get everything else done.

Oh yea, definitely. I wanna do the same thing, butI cant really afford that, and I can prolly figure something out to do it on my own. I just wish I had a dummy car to practice on. But what happened with the katzkin place? wouldnt they do all that? (2tone leather, not leather and fabric most likely, but still) Or would that cost more?

The Katzkin would probably run around 950 just for the leather with what he wants (2-tone, piping, etc.), and then another 6-7 hundred for install (at least around here). So it's a little pricier. Hell dude, if you found a shop that's going to do carpet, headliner, door panels, and seats for $1200 THAT'S A F-CKING STEAL! Get that sh-t done and hold them to their quote. I've had a lot of interior work done, and that sounds dirt cheap man. And yeah, the Katzkin embroidered leather is nice, but brand new fabric, carpet, and headliner everywhere will look sweet as hell too, like the interior is brand new. I have a tough time believing they're going to do ALL that for that price, but that's great man.
