RE: Tail lights
The same power source for the taillights powers the license plate and marker lights. As such power is making to the trunk.
The wiring for the tail lights splits off and goes through a Light Failure Sensor unit. There is a light on the dash for the brake and tail lights being out, is this light on?
The easiest way to check this is to pull out the trunk liner on the antenna side. The sensor unit may be below and slightly forward of the antenna motor.
Power to the tail lights comes into the sensor from the Green wire and exits via the Light Green wire to go directly to the lights. Use a volt meter to check for power at the Green wire and Light Green wires.
If no power at the Light Green wire the sensor could be bad, the easiest fix is to bypass it.
Connect the Green wire to Light Green wire, if the sensor is bad this should now power the lights.
If the sensor was the problem cut and tape Yellow and Yellow/Green wires as these have power coming to them from the Gauge fuse.
The side license plate and side marker lights receive power from the Green wire directly.
Stop light wiring is Green/Red.
If power at the Light Green wire the issue is the wiring between the sensor and lights.
