Default Alternator whine on 07 Camry

I have an 07 Camry, and want to use the aux port for audio. But the batteries on my IPod aren’t great and I need to power it from the car. When I do, I get piercing alternator whine. What works the best? Is there a ground loop isolated that I could install under the hood? Seems like what the car would need is something to isolate all audio devices (I have plans to hook up a sub, and the rear deck speakers are shot so I would probably put in another amp there) from the rest of the car’s electronics. Any thoughts?

If it works the easiest fix is a ground loop eliminator. There are a host of aftermarket ground loop eliminators available and some for IPod. Crutchfield.com offers products and is a good vendor. Might call them for advice.

Apples support website has some suggestions, see below:

If it is ground loop then having a single ground point for all systems is best. The power outlet has a different chassis ground point then the radio.
