Have a 2012 LE without the touch screen ….. it looks like the 6 inch OEM touchscreen that is pretty cheap out there now is the exact same size. Anyone know if the two can be swapped out easily and it all the wiring actually already back their for it? Or is it totally different.

wanted to installed a backup camera but thought i would tackle both if anyone had any info on the swap out. Thanks.

 

The spacing for the radio/navigation/touch screen/etc. was standardized between makes of cars so that one size fit all. Spacing is called DIN and Double DIN for one and two spaces high.

Not sure what wiring came with car. Toyota does not make one size fits all wiring and even if the wiring is there there may not be the fuse terminals in the fuse blocks.

Try asking at Toyotanation.com where others having A Toyota may have ventured this attempt. Toyota can spill over construction of their cars to other models as in if Model X vehicle had wiring then perhaps Model B might also have it.
