Default Excessive Bass in Stereo system

I drive a 2005 Camry, and there seems to be an excessive amount of bass in the stereo (type 1 - am/fm with single CD player) , I adjust the bass control, but it is still far too much bass (compared to playing them at home) - in some songs, it feels as if I am sitting INSIDE of the drums). I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem

Default RE: Excessive Bass in Stereo system

people complain about a lack of bass, never too much bass. there could be something wrong with the headunit itself, or it is something wrong with the music.
if there is too much bass from the fm/am then its probably the head unit. double check that you've adjusted the bass/treble/fade/balance functions again.

another solution you could try disconnecting the car battery for 15 minnutes. this will reset your head unit and perhaps solve the problem.
