1998 Stop Lam w/Rr Spoiler

I have a 1998 Camry LE with the Stop Lamp built into the spoiler. I have a few lights out in the spoiler. Are these LEDs or actual bulbs? Is it easier to remove the spoiler before removing the stop lamp or just remove the stop lamp?

These might be LED's lined up on a board.

Suggest asking at the Toyotanation website.
