Rear passenger interior door handle will not open the door, but the exterior handle works. When I manually latch the door with it open, the interior handle works, it unlatches the latch. I have put a screw driver with the same diameter as the door strike in the latch to simulate the strike and the interior handle will work unless I push pressure against the latch. I have had the interior door cover off to inspect the mechanism and every thing seems to working properly. Are there springs that loose tension over time?

 

Never heard of any springs losing tension. Other then the sticker plate know of no adjustments.

Typically issues are the arms falling off the levers, power lock device going bad.
