Default Another Center Console Push lid prob

My fault completely -- I actually had a key drop back behind and under the flip up door -- any idea how I could get under that compartment to get the key out? the flip up door will only open about an inch now... very annoying! - I can't really reach in to grab anything out of that compartment now...

Thanks,

use some long stick to reach the key and pull it back to you.

Do you think the key made its way to the chassis under the console?

Not up on 2011 thus guessing based on past years.

Is there a small coin box behind the shifter and does it come out?

The center console comes out but requires removing a few parts. The rear section of the console is typically held on by 4 bolts with 2 at the bottom of the glove box well.

The other two are at the front of the console. The front is where there is a joint between the console and what is called a column box console. The column box slopes up to bridge with the to the area under the dash.

Might first try removing the rear bolts then if possible GENTLY raise the rear of the console to probe underneath for the key.

If you want to remove the rear console post back after trying above suggestions.

Oh my. Got it out. Had to do what the person above said and take the center console up. But it was literally in its own little case. Tweezers and almost breaking and I found my lost cc debit card and license. Thanks for the help

FYI. That little flip up door in front of the center arm console is its own compartment with a black plastic piece cased around it. Funnnnnn stuff!!
