Talking Fogs on 09 hybrid

Lookin to put some OEM style fogs on my 09 hybrid.
before i pull the trigger on a set from ebay i was wondering what the best
way is to wire them in, besides using the switch it comes with. I cant really use the switch it comes with because i dont have an open spot on the dash, and i really dont wanna make a hole. so whats some other options. id like them to come on and off with the low beams. Thanks in advance.

you need to work out if the low beam OEM fuse and wiring and relay will take the fog lamps full draw when they are on

would this work for you

I would use an inline fuse on each power side of the fog lamp for safety

wire each power wire of the fog lamp into the power side of the low beam on each side of the car

and find each side ..an earth point on the chassis of the fogs earth wire .

.that makes the circuit when you turn on the low beams

no dont cut any wires

I use wire traps Figure 6 in the link below .

.you can find these connectors for sale almost any where in your local area

australian link used only for identifying the product .

Joiners/Wire Taps - Products - Narva

position the wires you want to join .... in each slot side by side ..not stripped back at all

...close together the wires in place ... the metal trap jaw...... with wide pliers

clip the flap in place
connection made

insulation tape all around the trap if you like more water proofing
