The glass for this years of car may be glued into the holder with a hot melt adhesive. See video below for an overview of how its done. This in the video uses adhesive tape. You can remove the old glass and use the tape.

Best to remove the complete mirror assy to change the glass if possible. The internet will have videos on how to do this.

Or buy a complete side mirror unit which is available aftermarket or try a auto salvage yard.
