Default Power Steering Flush?

I took my 98 inline 4 Camry to differnet shops asking them to flush the power steering fluid. Both shops wouldn't do it, one of the shops told me that all you need to do is check the fluid level and add ATF if it is low.

Do you need to flush the power steering fluid? Car has over 120K on it.

Thanks

No need for a flush. Just remove and refill the PS reservoir a few times until the fluid is clear again. Drive between refills to circulate the new fluid. There are cheap hand pumps that will draw out the old fluid.

PS uses Dexron III which now now goes by various names such as Mobile AFT.

Just did the 1st removal and refill yesterday. Going to check to see what the color is of the new fluid. Old fluid was dark black

Should clean up pretty fast with a few reservoir changes.
