Default Snapped a random wire

While doing a small repair on my 2000 Toyota Camry LE, I snapped off an electrical wire (see picture). What wire is that and what is the easiest fix?
I'm pretty much a noob at DIY. Any help will be appreciated.

Oil pressure gauge.

Got a soldiering gun?

The metal female electrical connector in the plug can be removed. Solder the connector to the wire and reinstall it into the plug..

Or search for a replacement female connector and connect to the wire.

Find junk yard care and cut plug off with a section of wire.

Solder the wire directly to the male electrical connection on the pressure sensor.

Thank you! I will probably do it the first way. I don't have a solder gun - looks like I will need to get one. Is it okay to drive my car short distances in the meanwhile?

Also, would some insulation tape suffice to hold the two ends together? I don't have much experience with soldering.

Tape might work if you get the kind that is self adhering, see link below.

https://www.google.com/search?q=self...t=firefox-b-ab

Clean the end of wire and the flat blade connector of the sensor for good electrical contact. Try to mechanically attach the wire to the connector (wrap the wire around it) then wrap with the tape.

There are also electrical conducting glues.
