Just opened up the airbox on my 07 camry, got it a couple months ago. Any way I noticed the normal air filter, and then one mounted to the upper part of the airbox. Thought I could remove it, and well, its out and defiantly not going back in. Lets just say I have made an impromptu mod.

So is this bad? Or can I just run it the way it is now.

There appears to only one air filter.

Are you sure this other item is not some kind of sound dampening material that was glued on?
