Default 1MZ-FE wiring

Hey,
so I don't know if this is correct outlet to be asking this.

But I have a 1MZ-FE out of a 95 Camry that I've put in to an MR2. But I'm not getting power to my coils or my fuel injectors. I've tried a few various power wires around the engine and none have done it.

From what I've seen on the wiring diagrams on www.camrystuff.com, I'm looking for a clip called IP1, however I'm having trouble locating it.

Can anyone confirm the location of this clip on the engine harness or perhaps give me some more insight in to where a suitable power wire would be?

Thanks!
Topo

Page 44. This appears to be inside the car as such the engine may not have it.

The Black/Orange wire appears to power everything. However the computer and igniter control the part action.

I agree that the b/o wire is the power source...and I've tried one thing that I thought would work...I wired my switched 12V wire (from my MR2) to I2 pin 1, which is (assuming) the power wire for the igniter, which then continues on to power everything else...but that didn't work.

Is my head in the right place or am I completely missing a step somewhere?

Was the MR2 ever built with a 1MZ-FE engine. Did you change over the computer? Do you have a wiring diagram for the MR2.

No. MR2 only ever came with an I4...so Im doing some dicey wire splicing between the 1MZ-FE's engine harness/ecu (so yes, ecu is for the V6) but Im splicing them together at the MR2's fuse box/body harness...so anything that's on a switched or constant 12V wire, I'm having to wire myself.

If you can provide access to a MR2 wiring diagram might be able to help.

My apologies.
here's what I use
http://www.scribd.com/doc/11234467/1...iring-Diagrams

I also managed to get power to my coils...just a simple oopsies I made every time I wired it up.

But my fuel injectors still aren't receiving power. Which I believe is some within my EFI. Which I have powered through the V6 ECU on clip E10, pins 22 & 23; but I can't shake the feeling the the EFI should be wired somewhere else. The wiring diagram on pg81 of the V6 wiring diagrams doesn't really show anything though.

EFI for MR2 can be found on page 65
EFI for V6 can be found on page 81

That's my current problem. Thanks for all the help so far. It's good to have an outlet to bounce ideas off of!

BTW how are you eading "power" to the injectors? It's a pretty fast pulse. are you cranking the engine?
