Default 2005 Camry master switch issue - Heeeelp!

I have a 2005 Camry and a while back my power-windows stopped working. Also, my 'check engine'-light, my brake-light, ABS light and my cruise control light are on constantly and my odometer is stuck at 74,873 miles. I had all fuses checked several times and they all work fine. I also had the alternator checked and the battery contacts are clean and strong. Recently three different people told me that my power window situation was a master switch issue. So I got a new master switch, hoping that that would at least solve the power window issue. I just installed the switch and nothing has changed. What could the problem be???

Did all this happen at once?

Do any of the passenger power windows work with their own switch?

Everything happened at once. One day everything worked, the next day, I roll down my windows and can't roll them up again. The day after that it works and then everything stops working alltogether. None of the windows work and I have a "light show" on my dash, however, the door lock switch and the mirror switches all work.

The fuses for the window are ECU-IG and Power Fuse No 1.

Relays are EG1 and PWR relay.

This might be one of those times to visit the dealer. This model has a complex electrical system compared to previous years.

Guessing all your issues are caused by one problem area but the system is too complex to diagnose here. Might be the ign switch, a main power relay but can only guess.

You can also try asking at the Toyotanation website.

I will check the fuses and the relays again and see what comes up. My guess, too, is that it is all related to one issue and I was hoping to avoid the dealer, but if I can't find the problem, this might be my only option (bye-bye, arm and leg ...).
I posted on ToyotaNation, but they ignored my post .
Thanks so much for your help, though. I'll keep you posted ...

Would assume it was a common issue but which one. The "wiring" is far more complicated on the newer Camry, without having the car in front of me, I would just be making guesses.

You are right about the wiring, it is far more complicated on this one. I am sure it's something really stupid that I am not thinking of. I'll check my fuses and relays again. The funny part is, everytime I had somebody look at it (non-dealer), they couldn't find anything. I pick up my car and almost everything is working fine again - until I turn off the engine. When I start her the next time it's back to square one - it's almost as if there was a short somewhere and I can't figure out where....

Might find how the shop is testing the system. Perhaps disconnecting the battery, removing the relays, etc. Whatever they are doing may somehow fix the problem temporarily.

If after a shop visit everything is OK but the problem reoccurs when the engine is turned off might be a relay sticking.

The shop did something to make the system work OK for a time, if you knew what they did, the areas they were poking around this may help find the problem part.

Default 2004 Camry power window- master switch

Can anyone give me an idea thats not too expensive. I need to replace the master switch on my 04 Camry LE 4 cyl. the passenger window became stuck. A local mechanis was able to get my window up, but had to disconnect the wiring from the master switch so it didnt happen again. I was told I need a new master switch on the driver's side and its like $400 plus labor $100. not sure ai want to spend need a junk yard ? and mechanic nearby under the table ?
