2011 Camry Brake Lights
Hey all,
I recently got a 2011 Camry XLE and am having what seems like a strange issue.
The brake lights will not turn on, there is no warning on the dash, the blinkers work, hazards work, running lights work, backup lights work. The left right and center brake lights do not turn on however. These are led plus since all of them aren't working I have a hard time imagining they all went out. Checked the stop fuse, replaced the brake light switch and still nothing. I don't really know what else to check at this point.
If anyone has some ideas or have had this same issue I would love to hear some input!
Thanks

Center light, rear window deck. I just tested with a multimeter and I’m not getting anything through the what I assume to be the wire for the brake light at the harness. I’m leaning towards this being a ground issue in that case (since I’m not getting continuity from that wire to ground).
Does anyone know where the ground for that circuit is?
Update: found the ground, it’s behind a panel on the rear of the trunk. The troubleshooting continues

Is each light getting +12V?
Typically chassis ground would be in the trunk area near the light and may be combined with other lights in that area.
Find a ground wire to a non working light and ground it.
Toyota has a website where for $20 one can access technical data for 2 days.
