When the eject button is pressed, is the CD player making any noises as if attempting to eject the disk?

A few things to try to attempt to reset the stereo or force the disk to eject.

Press and hold eject button for a few minutes.

Press and hold eject and power buttons for a few minutes.

If the stereo has a remote, press both stereo and remote buttons.

Determine if the front of the unit has a small hole or indentation for a needle/narrow pin to insert and engage the reset feature.

Disconnect stereo electrical power for approx 4 few minutes then reconnect. Note the stereo will lose all station presets. Turn on stereo and wait until any mechanical noises stop, then try to eject the disk. This power disconnect might need to be repeated to eject other disks in then stereo one at a time. Note if the stereo has an anti-theft system which has been set, will need to enter the code to get the stereo to work.

Insert thin cardboard into the CD slot to attempt to engage the eject system.

If the CD player uses a magazine, insert thin cardboard between magazine and stereo slot and attempt to remove magazine.

Try grasping/pulling the CD with needle nose pliers, etc while pressing the eject button.

If this is a 1990's cartridge CD player, suggest replacing the unit as they are known for jamming.
