I use to do this to my talon and I bet it can be done to a 1g camry. I had a pda with theappropriate software and custom made cable, I wouldplug the cable intothe diagnostic port and be able to get the trouble codes+ check all the sensors likethe oil pressure, oxygen sensors, fuel trims, and other sensors. If you know what I am talking about and if they make a software for a1g camry please let me know?
thank you, Marcus

Have not heard of any aftermarket system or software like this for the ODBI system (or whatever they call it). Toyota does use a hand held scanner that can display sensor signals, operate VSV, etc for this system. Thus it should be possible to tap into to the system and get real time output.
As to how to do this and where to find the info, don't know.
If you come up with something please post here as others would also be interested.
