1995 Toyta Camry 2.2L SDV10 petrol consumption?
Hi guys
I'm just wondering how many kms I should get with a full tank of standard unleaded 91. I'm currently only getting around 650kms (400mls) and I think this is a little low?
Thanks

The 2.2l typically gets around 11.05 KM per liter overall city/hwy driving.
If taking long hwy drives at around 104 kph this can raise to 13.6 km/l.
If using petrol that DOES NOT contain ethanol (say 10% as here in the states), would expect the mileage to increase by roughly 10% over these figures.

Thanks for the reply. That seems about right then. I'm not sure if our fuel over here in Australia contains ethanol or not, but I just use regular 91 octane. Can you run 95 or 98 octane with these engines? Would it be beneficial at all?

Ah i see, thanks mate.
I have one other question about engine coolant. Can i just use any engine coolant like the $6 5L jug from the auto shop? Or do i need something different? Whats te difference between type a and type b?

The link below has coolant info facts that should help you:
http://www.nulon.com.au/facts/FS101%...he%20Facts.pdf
It appears Type A has antifreeze, Type B just the corrosion inhibitors.
For Camry seems like HAT is recommended. Don't use OAT or corrosion issues could occur.
Don't mix HAT and OAT.
The container should state what specifications the coolant meets.
I use Zerex G0-5 for 1995 and below Toyota but this may be a US product.
The issue is manufactures specify certain types of coolant for their cars. Toyota specifies a silicate and borate free coolant. Toyota sells their own brand which is pink or red.
