Default 92 Camry 2.2 bad oil leak

Alright guys here goes. on the passenger side near the fire wall I have a huge leak. When the car is running you can see it drip. looking between the pulleys, not at the base of the motor, but midway, outer edge near the pulleys. Timing belt cover looks moist, but midway towards the firewall. any ideas?

The possible leakage areas under the timing cover are the cam and crankshaft seals, and the oil pump seal.

The crank seal is low on the engine, the cam seal high. In between and a little toward the firewall is the oil pump. It the oil pump drive shaft seal leaks, the result can be a slow or fast steady drip when the engine is running. By your description this appears to be the problem.

If it is the oil pump take caution, the drip can be large as you describe. Until you get it fixed, carry a lot of oil. Check it often as in at least every 1/2 hour of engine on time, less if driving on the freeway having a higher steady engine RPM.

Regardless the timing cover needs to be removed to access and inspect any of these seals. The oil pump seal itself can be replaced by taking apart the pump (not a hard job), however a repair shop may elect to just change the pump to save labor.
