Default 93 Camry V6 LE

I have a 1993 Camry V6 LE. 107 K miles excellent condition. If the timing belt ever broke, does it hurt the engine, as in interference motor vs. Non interference motor?....I plan on changing it at 120K miles to be safe......

Interference engines will smash the valves/break the pistons. Non-interference will not smash the valves. I recommend replacing your timing belt at least every 80,000 - 100,000 miles. I replace mine every 50,000 but i just have had timing belts break before and its not fun .

Exerpt below is taken from Gates Timing Belts website:

===
A single asterisk means it's an interference engine and a # sign means the water pump is driven by the timing belt

1992-93 3.0L V6 # T200 TCK200** 60,000 Severe

You can check out the website below for more information. This website recommends replacing the timing belt every 60,000 miles..

Hope this helps!

Thanks! It is a non-interference engine which makes me happy! ......
