Default 97 2.2 Liter

Key in the off position will not turn engine off.... Alarm, lights and engine are still on with key in off position.

Have tested the power to starter, thinking this was the issue.

Which lights stay on.

Try pulling AM2 fuse to stop engine.

So which I knew where the AM2 fuse was, I would have pulled it in a heart beat. I am doing this blind with no guide.

The fuse is in a plastic box-engine compartment drivers side.

Would it be labeled AM2? I know which fuse box you are talking about. I was looking for one to have been blown or something to give this problem in the first place.

In order to run down the wiring circuits need to know exactly which lights, accessories (such as radio, heater blower, etc) stay on when the key is turned off but the engine is running.

The ign key has two separate switches in one unit. One switch could be still on when the other is off, or a relay (one of many) could be sticking on, etc.

Default Fixed!

Took the car to the auto shop and $500 later it was a bad starter and shorted wiring from the starter to the battery. With my experience around cars, I would have never found it.

Thanks a lot for the responses.
