hey guy so i was driving the other day and my check engine light came on, but then later on, it went back off. but when i was drivin today again it turned back on. i think it might just be a sensor i have a 99 camry. any info would help thanks.

 

Could be several things, need some more specifics from you. You could start with your O2 sensor. Have you done or had anyone do any work to your car? What happened before the light started turning on? When does it turn on (certain speeds?) If you know how you can run a diagnostic on it for the code and that will tell you what's up. yea a little more info would be nice, that little light could mean various things.

 

so yea i was drivin it this weekend it turned on and then later on it turned back off again. when i first bought this car a year ago i had to get the 02 sensor replaced. then that turned off the check engine light then later on it came back again so i took it to the toyota dealer and i think they changed something with the EVAP valves or something i dont quite remeber. but thats all i had done to the car. also i have a injen air intake i never had a sensor problem with that though. thanks guys

 

Don't knowif this is related or not, but here's my 2cents: my cel would come on and off randomly, dealer pulled code and came up with knock sensor but didnt' recommend replacing sensors. Thought maybe bad gas. Then gas pedal started sticking. Dealer (finally) cleaned the throttle body and fuel injection, etc.... my cel has not been back on since (4 months) Car never really drove bad that whole time, I think the sensors were just doin' their job and didnt' need to be replaced...
