Default Crazy story about Camry 1999 Clutch

I got Toyota Camry LE 1999 V6 Stick Shift
Maybe you can shed some light on this for me.

Today I was driving to work and the clutch would not pull back up. The car was towed to a local place. Originally, the mechanic said that the slave Clutch Slave Cylinder was leaking. Then the sales guy said that a "Clutch Accumulator" is broken. What is Clutch Accumulator? Is he making that information up?

Can someone help me?

Are they ripping me off? They say that the part is unavailable until the following week.

Thanks in advance.

There is a clutch accumulator on this car/engine type.

Not sure what is does. Perhaps acts to slow the clutch engagement and release. You push or release the pedal but the accumulator slows things down a little.

Neither. The part is between the two connected by a hydraulic line from each.

Don't know the part number. A Toyota dealer parts department should be able to look it up.
