Default Engine swaps for awd 93 camry

Hey guys, I recently got a cheap camry from my uncle and it has a 3sfe and awd manual trans, the engine is on its way out and I was hoping to find an engine that is stronger that will fit the manual awd trans, also planning on going for a low boost turbo setup in near future so wondering what engine would be best for that, cheers for any help

The 3SFE has been turbocharged.

There was a 3SGTE turbo engine.

The 5SFE is the later model larger engine which has bee turbocharged.

Do you know if the 3sgte would accept the awd manual trans? Thanks for the reply

The 3SGTE is the same basic engine design as the 3SFE thus should bolt up. The 5SFE is the replacement for the 3SFE, the same basic design as the 3SFE but has a larger displacement.

The are lots of posts on the internet including this site on turbocharging the Camry.

See link below.

The is also an Australian Camry website.

Do you know if a sv40 3sfe would be easy to swap into the sv35 3sfe place? If so what changes would need to be made? Cheers
