Default no start

i own a 95 camary with a 2.2.i recently encountered a no start issue.the vehicle will spin over but doesnt run.ive checked for spark and checked for fuel.i found if you jump the two terminals in the dlc plug the fuel pump will run.also found vehicle to have a injector pulse.i verified spark on all cylinders.not sure where to go.i know the plugs showed signs of furl on it.

How good is the spark? Should be able to gap 1/2 inch. Many times! the engine has spark but it is not strong enough to start engine. If the engine becomes flooded this makes starting even harder.

Check ign coil.
Spark plug wires, plugs and cap and rotor.

On rare occasions the timing belt teeth strip and result is the engine has spark but the timing being off. Check the location of the rotor compared to the No 1 cap electrode.

where exactly should it be compared to the no 1 cap electrode.

Find No 1 electrode on distributor cap (goes to cylinder No 1). Rotate engine crank pulley to TDC, rotor should be at No 1 electrode position or 180 degrees off.

if its 180 out it probally damaged valves?like i said the car ran fine then shut it off and came back a few hours later and all it does is spin over.the motor sounds strong when it spins.the only thing else has to be timing.

Then how good is the spark. Poor spark can cause starting issues. This is compounded if the engine becomes flooded.
