2009 4 cly camry. 46K mikes, runs great w/good MPG. Sounds like a cement mixer at idle. My 1st Toyota and 4 cyl. I'm a V8 guy and some V6's. I like to hear the car Purr at idle. Is this a normal sound???
All fuids at correct level. Noise not fron pulleys or pump or alt. Sounds like from internal engine???

Just sounds like a rough idle, try cleaning your IAC and throttle body and see the problem gets better.

I had it in for the power window switch recall.
I asked the service advisor what it sounded like to him and he said , oh thats your water pump.
they replaced it under warrenty.
Sounds like a quiet car again..
