Default Toyota Camry engine light to stay on after you had replaced and oxygen sensor

What would cause a '99 Toyota Camry engine light to stay on after you had replaced and oxygen sensor in Bank 1 sensor 1 location. Does it need an air flow sensor if it is a '99 Toyota camryV6?

Get the trouble codes read out again and determine if it is the same sensor code.

What brand of sensor was used and was the correct sensor replaced. The engine has more then one sensor.

Sometimes using a Bosch brand or what is called a "universal sensor" can cause problems.
