01 Camry Exhaust

Exclamation 01 Camry Exhaust

Okay so I am trying to save my mom some money by fixing her exhaust, it is an 01 Camry 4cy; with calif emissions. my county does not test emissions so can i use an aftermarket exhaust? or is it set up different. the car failed inspection b/c the cat has a hole in it and i need to fix asap.

If California emissions the exhaust may have two converters, one on the exhaust manifold and one under the chassis. if so which one has the hole?

Find the converter that is leaking on the link below:

2001 TOYOTA CAMRY Catalytic Converter

You state there is a hole in the converter, could it be a leak from a exhaust pipe gasket joint or the flex pipe located forward of the converter under the chassis. The flex pipe looks it is made of woven wire.
