Default 1996 2.2 oil light flicker

hey everyone just got onboard because i like my car and i cant afford to buy new so....just had alot of work done: both front axles, timing belt, water pump, oil pump, cam seal, pcv valve, valve cover gasket. car runs great! but after it warms up the oil light flickers at idle (750 rpms)when i come to a stop or put it in park. and the engine has a little vibration at idle also. there is plenty of oil in there with no leaks. i changed the oil pressure sensor and it still flickers. PS i forgot to mention.... brand new tires on it too

The best approach is to borrow, rent or find a friend with a pressure gauge that can be installed where the oil pressure sender goes.

Check engine oil pressure hot.

Minimum oil pressure at idle is 4.3 psi, at 3K rpm 36-71 psi.

The oil pressure sender switch may turn on at 5 psi.

Other causes could be worn bearings, engine sludge, plugged oil pump intake screen, oil pressure bypass valve.

When you removed the valve cover, was there any sludging on the valve train?

The engine tends to have some vibration at idle, normal. The lower the idle RPM, the more vibration.
