1997 Camry constantly blows efi fuse??
Hello all, I have a 1997 Toyota Camry 2.2. I just had the head rebuilt and put back on. Car ran great for two days, on the third day while I was driving the car just shut off on me. The car keeps cranking over, but wont start. I noticed the efi fuse was blown, so when i put another one in, it blows right when i turn my key over in the ignition. Someone was telling me it could be a pinched or spliced wire, but I'm assuming if it was that, it would have popped the fuse right when I first got it going. My friend believes it is the alternator. What do you guys think? Any info is appreciated
If the head was replaced check for wiring problems with items that needed to have there wire plug disconnected such as VSV's, AF or 02 sensors, IAC valve, etc.
The power wire color for all the items is black/yellow.
Who knows the reason the fuse is blowing now rather then earlier, however now there is a short somewhere.
