1998 Camry ABS light/sensors/relay
My daughter came home this Easter weekend with the ABS light on in her Camry. We grabbed the codes - 31 and 32, which points to the front left and right sensors. What I also noticed was the ABS relay (left relay in gang of three - just to the left of the radiator) would make quite the loud click when the ignition was turned on. In fact, I believe it was more than one click. I can't figure out if the relay is activating and then deactivates when the system senses a fault in one or both of the sensors, or if the relay is bad. I guess I'm surprised that -both- sensors failed at the same time, which leads me back to the relay. I'm looking for any validation on what the problem may be and if there is any way to figure out if the relay is bad. I realize I can replace the relay, but it's obviously a waste of $$ if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
Finally, other sources suggest that the sensors could just be dirty. I do plan to get in there with a rag and compressed air if this is worth pursuing.
Thanks in advance.
