2007 Tail Light Issue
Hi I am having an issue with my left tail light. The left break light (lower left corner) is not coming on. I initially thought it was an issue w/ the bulb, but after switching the left and right bulbs and checking all the fuses, the left side is still not working.
I recently installed HID Xenon lights for my front low-beans but I don't think that was the cause. I also installed a Pioneer in-dash navigation unit and PAC SWI-PS steering remote myself. I had to tap into the VSS (speed sensor) and steering control wires in the dash. I also opened up the driver side kick panel to look for the rear shift wire but unable to find it. I am not sure if I accidentally disconnected any wire to the rear left break light.
I also briefly checked the harness for the light. It seems to be in excellent shape w/o any corrosion.
Can someone point me to what else to check? Your help is much appreciated.

problem solved
Actually, there were multiple problems:
1. the left harness was broken. One of the four metal contact had broken off.
2. there are two filaments inside each bulb. The bottom one is used for DRL and the top one is for braking. The top filament was burned out on the left bulb, but I only checked the DRL and didn't catch it.
So I repaired harness by doing some soldering and bought 7443 dual filament bulbs from a nearby automotive store for $6 (Sylvania Long Life, pack of 2). Now all is good
