there seems to be a lot of forums to fiddle through.. but does anyone know if there's anything that would prevent anyone from buying the new 2009 camry hybrid? i'ev always wanted a hybrid, and i'm a big fan of camrys ever since i was a wee girl, so i thought why not a camry hybrid! if anyone has any info out there, holla back! thanks in advance.

RE: 2009 camry
All I heard was that the Camry Hybrid had twice the payback (Consumer Reports) than any other hybrid, even the Prius. Be careful when buying the hybrid, it's not for everyone. They tend to save more gas in the city, and I don't think low mileage use would make them pay back either.

Try Toyotanation, the site has a Camry hybrid section.

By the Camry Hybrid
I've had mine since January (company vehicle) and I love it. Runs like a champ (not a dragster, but plenty of oomph when you need it, especially at highway speeds). In town, I am getting an average of 37.5 mpg since I got the vehicle (now at 4,200 miles). On the highway, the mileage is just as good (if not better) so long as you can use the cruise control and maintain a steady speed. When traffic gets heavy and your speed goes up and down, the mileage drops to around 35 mpg. This is the quietest and smoothest riding vehicle I have ever owned. The navigation system is very nice, stereo is great. I've heard they are not good in cold climates, but I'm in Florida. Some reviews I read claim they dropped off to about 25 mpg in MN, but the engine has to run to keep the heater warm, so who knows. Good luck with your decision!
