Hi there, I have a 2011 Camry LE. Recently, the remote control won't beep when locking the car. Even the headlights and tail lights won't blink when I press the lock button on the remote. The doors do lock though when I press the lock button. Everything works fine when I press unlock button (i.e.: the lights blink and remote beeps). I am not sure if I have explained the problem properly. Anyone has any idea about the issue?

 

The remote system can be programmed to do this and that. Horn beep, lock doors, etc. Perhaps the system reverted to a default mode for some reason.

I don't know all the programming details which can at times be arcane.

Check if owners manual has info on programming remote. If not, the internet has lots of posts on programming Camry remote features.

When searching, take note there are procedures for modifying what features the remote has, such as horn beep. Then there are procedures for programming a remote to get it to work with the car, as in having the car recognize the remote.

You want to modify the features the remote has such as horn beep, lights, locks, etc not link remote with car. There is a difference.
