The rattling could be the VVTi mechanical system banging around.

Research how the system works. YouTube has lots of videos such as below. See video.

The crank and camshaft sensors send cam position data to the ECU to activate the VVTi system. Each camshaft has a VVTi valve. The ECU then expects a change in the cam sensor data based on its control inputs to the VVTi valves, If it does not get or its wrong a code can be set.

Toyota uses oil pressure to operate the VVTl system. Note the comment in the video about losing oil pressure and what happens as in noise. The engine can also have operational problems.

These VVTi solenoids have an oil filter screen which can plug up with debris and cause oil starvation. Is this the case here, don't know but is common.

Toyota has a website where for $25 one can one get access to their factory service for 2 days. This info should have detailed diagnoses for each code.

https://techinfo.snapon.com/TIS/Register.aspx

The 2011 is the last of Generation 6 which spanned from 2007 to 2011. If you find repair data in the year for assumed the 4 cylinder (Model 2AZFE) it will apply to your year. The engine was used in host of Toyota models beside Camry.

You will need some service info. A few hours of internet searching can find enough free info to have decent plan of attack.

A single problem can cause many codes.

Run down each code to locate the solenoid oil control valve it may refer to. Remove the valve and check the screen. YouTube has LOTS of videos on screen cleaning.

Default kinda fixed it

so apparently theres two vvt solenoids and the one i changed is intake not the exhaust one lol i disconnected the battery and changed the spark plugs as well. the check engine light hasnt shown up but i think it is because i disconnected the battery. However, the engine is still making that ticking noise. is there like a cheat code to see if its actually the vvti gear thingy without actually opening up the valve cover? it literally sounds like a ticking bomb T_T

Get a section of hose to use a stethoscope. :Listen to the intake and exhaust VVTi gears and find out which one is rattling if any..

Plus listen around the timing chain cover as could be the timing chain which is known to make noise. The chain guide can wear resulting in noise.

A decent OBBII monitor would show valve timing live to determine if the exhaust or intake timing is erratic. Toyota uses software called Techstream which has been bootlegged and is now sold on sites such as Ebay.
