Just purchased new 2012 Camry, anyone has any background detail on the liner material in the rear fender-wells…it is some type of sound deadening cloth; first car I’ve ever seen like this…
…it literally looks like material that would be used to line the trunk walls, I’m guessing it has purpose to quiet road noise for back passengers…
…will be interesting to see how it holds up over the years...after some snowstorms and life on the road…don’t think I’d want to go mudding in the Camry – might have to buy a carpet shampooer to clean out the wheel wells :>
