Hello there. I was looking at a used Camry for my kid and ran across this car (2014 Camry SE ) with 240K miles on the odometer. I know Toyotas last a long time but this one has me a bit concerned (due to high mileage). I was going to take a look at it but was wondering what to look for. It has a clean carfax and one owner driven.

What other things should I look out for?

Some transmissions had issues of torque converter shutter. Toyota had a service bulletin on this and a free time limited repair. Find out of this car had the repair if needed.

AC musty smell due to plugged condensate drain.

Toyota apparently changed to soy based electrical wiring insulation which attracted rodents.

Fuel leak affected some serial numbers.

Check the cars VIN for recalls and service bulletins that effect THIS car as not all cars are effected.

Good ratings for crash protection.

Otherwise a very decent car and one owner is plus.

Find out when the transmission fluid was last changed as worn out fluid is the No 1 cause of trans issues.
