'95 Camry High mount stop/brake light removal
Hi, my '95 camry's high mount stop/brake light is out. But the real problem is trying to remove the plastic lamp cover so that I can get access to the light bulb. The manual say just pry it off but I found it is not that easy. Does anyone out there know how this is done? TIA.
my 98 has two prongs in the trunk that i use my fingers to push in and it pops up inside the cabin then i can remove it. prying would have done nothing in my car to get it out, maybe if i broke the clips it would.
Hi, thank you for the reply, nice looking car you have there!
I saw two metal prongs inside trunk and do not know what they are. I try to push/twist them but they are not going anywhere. Not knowing what Iwas doing, I did not try too hard though. Can you show me more details about what you did to remove the light fixture.

http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/bo.pdf check that repair manual
page BO-83 it looks like gen3 is just pulling on it instead of popping from trunk.

Just changed my brake light. Its very easy, just squeeze the housing from the back seat and it shoud pop right out. Then its two philps screws hold the unit in place.Remove these and entire unit comes out. Should take about 20 minutes tops.
Hope this helps.

Aha, I finally got it. By squeezing the back housing (the side opposite to theback window)toward the back window, the plastic hook on the housing get loose and the housing pop up upward. It is a cake walk once the housing is open. Thanks to all folks helping out here.
