day 2 no problems. 1 week will make me very happy. 220,000 miles and still runs nice. well built cars.

oops. hesitation then rpm fluctuation, revving stopped the problem. happened 1 time during 1/2 hour trip returning home from work. replaced air filter, remembering its been over 50,000 miles since last replacement. we'll see what happens.

 

Was the length of time gap between new pump and recurrent hesitation longer the usual?

The can filter in engine compartment seldom plugs up.

Did you change fuel?

 

why did you mention can filter in engine compartment? I changed air filter. no problem 1 hour round trip today. good idea on changing gas station. going to keep track of that. changing air filter did improve gas mileage. can tell just by how fast the gage drops. also going to fill tank each time. usually dont.

 

day 2 with new air filter. 1.5 hours driving. no problem.

filled tank today after work. 75 dollars. thanks joe biden. 3 minutes later, hesitation. then rpm fluctuation. quick reving took care of it. starting to believe there is a problem with the fuel.

 

Interesting and it is sounding optimistic... Not gas prices but the hesitation!
