Default 99 Camry foggy inside windshield

I have a 1999 Camry. Several weeks after I clean the inside of the windshield it gets a fog like film on the inside.
It seems more noticable after a few days of rain. Thus I guess water may be getting into a filter.

The engine air filter is dry and clean.

Any ideas on what to look for?

Thank You

Thats a good question, I've actually been havin that issue myself. Have you checked and made sure all your seals and such are holdin up like they should? I mean, I know my driver window is f[sm=smiley35.gif]d up and often doesnt close properly.. but its also possible that if say a door seal wasnt seated properly, moisture could get in through an opening there.

This is just my hypothesis, if anyone would care to correct me (toyomoho) I'd love to know what else to look for.

I don't know what "filter" you are talking about. Moisture on the windshield has nothing to do with your engine air filter. If the car has a cabin filter then water could be leaking to it and making the intake air moist. There also could be a small leak in your heater core, but you may smell a sweet smell from the anti-freeze. Is your cooling system needing topping up from time to time? Your windshield could also have a leak. Using your A/C should dry up any mositure in the vent system. I also get fog on the bottom of the windshield in damp/high humidity conditions, but it is on the outside as my vent system does not completely block air flow to the defrost vent and the A/C cold air creates the condensation on the outside.

My windshield fogs in the inside in the outer lower corners with the A/C on. Took off dash carpet, but didn't help.
