'99 Camry making humming noise
My car has been making a humming type noise all of a sudden. There are speed intervals in which it does this. For example from 35-45 and 60-70. The car still makes the noise when you let go of the gas pedal while driving such speeds, so the problem doesn't seem to be in the transmission. Also, the noise seems to be coming from the front of the car. Have already tried changing wheel bearings. Lately, this noise has gotten much louder. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

RE: '99 Camry making humming noise
oh yea sorry forgot to tellyou but we already tried that. We switched my tires with those from another camry, and itmade the same exact noise. And the mechanics seem to be stumped as well. One tells me its the transmission, another says its the bearings, although, its definately not the transmission, andi've changed the bearings in the front, and this is where the sound seems to be coming from.

RE: '99 Camry making humming noise
You know the same thing happened to my car. I have a 2009 Camry IV LE. At the same time, my steering wheel was kinda crooked. Just picture your steering wheel straight (12oclock) Myne was kind of 11oclock. I took it to my mechanic. We replaced all the tires and he balanced and did all that stuff. Now the car drives smooth and is quiete.
