Default Belt squeal

I have a 2003 Camry XLE V6 3.0 with a really bad squeal when the car starts up. Generally if it is warm outside, when I start the car I get a really high pitched squeal when I give it gas. It stops soon after and then seems to be fine. If I turn off the A/C while it is squealing, it stops.

I stopped by and picked up a new belt and changed it out. At first it seemed to take care of the issue, but then the squeal came right back. My question is, has anyone had a squeal that continued after a belt change? Is there anything with the tension or could it be related to a pulley?

Thanks in advance.

Too loose of tension will allow slippage which leads to squeekage. Try tightening the belt a tad.

Thanks Joel. I revisited the adjustment bolt and had better light this time and I could see a distinct line on the bolt where it was clean and dirty. I tightened the bolt down until the line so now it should be at the same spot it was prior to changing the belt.

So far today it seems good, I'll find out more this evening when I drive it.
