Blown Head Gasket
Hi, I am confused. I brought it in to theealership because it was just mighty rough on acceleration. they did a tune up for 500 and then say the problem was till there and then upon further chase they determined it was a blown head gasket. I was pretty convinced so I didnt drive it all that much in the past couple of months. but this week, i drove it like it was my only car. and i ran in to a couple of situations where i have to gun it to get the heck out of a situation. then i seem to feel the roughness at idle or acceleration had stopped. hhhhh,,,,,.am i jsut masking a problem, or could i have cleared gunk out of some where that was stuck and that it was a combination of th eblown gasket and gunk?
i don't know, i am kind of confused. cz once in a while, i still feel an uneen flow of exhaust coming out of my tail pip.e
thanks.
93-6 cylinder.
how much should it cast anyways to change

RE: Blown Head Gasket
does the car smoke at startups?
93...with how many miles? i certainly would not rule out blown headgaskets. if nothing but the gaskets are damaged then its not too expensive (typically labor is the most costly). The parts i think are around 50..but dont quote me on that. didnt the stealership quote you?
