what could be the issue ... my a/c isnt cooling...checked all the fuses...compressor isnt running...took to a dealer and they replaced board in dash because it all stopped. after doing that all was working except a/c - compressor.

Please clarify.
Was the A/C blowing cold air after the dealer repairs. If not, why didn't you return the car to dealer to fix it?
When the A/C is on. The compressor does not operate continuously, it cycles on and off.
When the A/C is on, are the engine coolant fans turning on and off?
The clutch that engages the compressor drive shaft is electromagnetic. When +12V DC is applied to magnetic coil, the clutch engages.
If you look closely at the pulley area of the compressor. You should see ONE wire going to the clutch assy. This wire powers the compressor. If you apply power to this wire the clutch should engage. With engine running, the compressor should operate.
Note the compressor also has other wiring going to it. Make sure you have the correct one.
