I bought a new battery a month ago. I didnt leave any lights on or anything and the car was driving fine the day before it didnt start. When I give the car a jump, it starts then shuts off few mins later. I think there were some white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I think its the battery, alternator or starter but what else can cause the car to not start?

 

Check to see if your battery terminal connections are attached securely? You shouldn't be able to twist them.
