Default Check engine light keeps coming on

Hi everybody!

The "check engine" light of my Toyota Camry 2000 keeps coming on every other two weeks or so.
It stays on for about 2 or 3 days and then goes off again.
Is there something that can be done to fix this problem for once and for all?
It has done this since I had the car (about 3 months)

Thanks in advance,

Frans

I don't know what the error code is. Just that the light comes on every now and then.
What I gather from your question is that I need to take it to a shop and they can determine the code and take appropriate action, right?

With my post I sort of hoped to hear somehting like; "Oh, that happens sometimes, it is usually...blah (fill in blank)
Thanks for reading my question and replying vin888!

you can go to autozone and let them scan the code for you or you can loan the obd scanner and scan it yourself
