Question Gen3 Camry Fix or Not?

Hi all,

Just wondering on your opinion on this car , i have a SXV10 Gen 3 Camry with 5s-fe/A140E with 198217K miles on the clock
So far with this car there are a couple of issues
  1. No start condition (fuel, spark or ecu)
  2. Leaking PS system (air getting in)
  3. Minor head gasket leak
  4. Paint coming off
Do you think its worth investing $250USD to get it running given its age and parts availability, i would be doing most of the work as a DIY , although i do not have some testing equipment, your thoughts and opinions would be appreciated

Thanks

I had proactively shot out a solicitation for somebody's assistance in fixing this yet couldn't get a fix for it yet. I introduced a cd player on my 92 Camry and promplty blew a couple of breakers. In the wake of supplanting every one of the wires, I saw that the dimmer switch worked no longer and ought to likewise work the vehicle sound system yet didn't. Anything I ought to check - separate breaker perhaps or wiring on sound system? anybody know, I got some gigantic assistance from Knailgun here - expresses gratitude toward Neil - and will attempt his idea of checking for an ongoing on the dimmer, yet any other individual have thoughts? thanks!

Check prices on new and used cars today. If you can really fix the car for $250 that may be less then the sales tax on used car.

I agree with Joey, fix for $250 is worth it. When you start getting close to $1000 is where the concern comes in.
Used cars are very pricey these days!
