Help - Should I get a 2007 Camry?
OK, here's my query - I know a 65 yr old man, super conservative, who will be trading in his 2007 on a new 2012 as soon as they become available. Probably Oct / Nov he estimates.
He said he would sell me his spotless car for the trade-in value, which he estimated to be $8000. Currently car has 65,000. He's had the dealer do all the recommended maintenance. He lifted up the hood and it was spotless engine. Wow, on the condition, imo.
But this is much newer than anything else of the good, but oldie cars that I've owned for ten+ yrs. So, is 2007 a good year for me to step up to a newer car?
More than one reply would be great, but whatever. Thoughts on a 2007 Camry. Thanks.

I strongly suggest you review posts for this year of car at the Toyotanation website. This is one of the largest Toyota sites.
This will give you an good idea of what people are complaining about and what years they recommend. One post is below.
Best/worst Camry years? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums
If the dealer did all the work you might ask for the records to provide a repair history.
The 07 appears to have had more then its share of problems, thus some research would be prudent.
