Default HID Kit questions

I just had my 6000K HID Kit installed on my 07 Camry SE. It looks dope. But the only thing that bothers me is that my fogs and my brights had less light output after the HID installation. I know it has something to do with the xenon bulbs and ballasts demanding more electricity, but I thought HID requires less electricity yet produce more lighting? The lights on my fogs and brights are still sufficient but it was not as bright as before the HID was installed. Any suggestions to get the original light output?

I wonder how many on-coming drivers you **** off? Maybe you're trying to put more power through the wires than they can handle so their resistance reduces your power output. Your alternator may not be able to handle the extra as well??

I am not sure who installed your lights but have them check all connections. The ground can cause allot of problems with the lights being dim. Also you may have to find arelay which is a little bigger. Check it out and see if you can find one off a SUV or some Toyota truck that has a higher rating but is the same plug pattern. I have done this with motorcycles and the problem was gone. You may want to go up a number on the fog lamps also they will look dim because the lights are much brighter. The Pedro has a point but I say if the state where you live has no law aginst it, **** them off. The ALT will handle the voltage needed it is a steady output unless it is bad then look for a new one but I do not think that is an issue. If so you would here allot of tuners talk about it. Check the ground did the guy use dielectric grease on the plugs? very important little thing. The grease must be used on every plug and where the ground is attached no if ands or butts. If the guy says you do not need it insist he uses it,or never use him again he may be a moron.
